Directions: Go north on I-5 through Santa Clarita, exit Calgrove and turn west (left) under the freeway and then left again on the Old Road. Watch for the sign, “Ed Davis Park at Towsley Canyon.” Turn right and park in the back lot. Meet at the kiosk.

Many people dread a call from their mechanic. Such a call usually means an additional expense. Perhaps a transmission needs to be overhauled or battery has to be purchased. But last Friday, several hours after my partner had picked up her car, I received a call from my mechanic about a very different subject.
