This will be a general natural history hike for California Native Plant Society, (CNPS) and SFVAS members, concentrating on plants, birds, and environmental issues affecting the Hansen Dam area. Mark will be available for additional explorations of Tujunga Wash after the basic trip. It is always a good idea to bring water and munchies, especially for those wishing to explore Tujunga Wash. Also, BRING BINOCULARS AND A HAND LENS IF POSSIBLE. Directions: Take Osborne exit from Golden State Fwy. (5). Go northeast past intersection with Glenoaks. Turn right on Dronfield to enter the park. Proceed downhill to the large parking lot. Alternate directions: Exit Osborne from the Foothill Fwy. (210). At the off ramp, turn right onto Foothill. After a short distance, turn left onto Osborne and then left on Dronfield. Proceed to the lower parking lot. Leader: Mark Osokow.
