Every year in December, the Audubon Society conducts the Christmas Bird Count, an international bird census that spans the Western Hemisphere. This year, the San Fernando Valley will be doing its CBC on December 17th. However, preparations for it are already underway. Right now, we are looking for people who would be willing to lead teams for the CBC. Any level of birding experience is acceptable, as long as you feel comfortable identifying the local species, and are willing to be out counting birds for most of the day.
