Rosemary Mosco blends science, humor, and heart to create acclaimed books and comics about birds and other wildlife. According to BirdWatching Magazine, “She is the rare humorist who understands nature and biology well enough to make even the most cranky birder crack a smile.” Her thoroughly researched Bird and Moon comics were the subject of an award-winning exhibit at Cornell’s Museum of the Earth and have appeared in publications ranging from Audubon to Nature Ecology & Evolution to Ranger Rick. Her comics are collected in the book Birding Is My Favorite Video Game, named a 2019 ALA Great Graphic Novel for Teens. She also co-authored the New York Times bestseller The Atlas Obscura Explorer’s Guide for the World’s Most Adventurous Kid and wrote the graphic novel Solar System: Our Place In Space. She speaks at birding festivals and nature clubs. In her free time, she wanders through the wilderness and dodges mosquitoes as best she can.
