Over 280 species of birds have been seen at Hansen Dam, which holds the record for most species seen in a day in the San Fernando Valley at 120. It is a huge area with lots of varied habitat. Walks are on the fourth Saturday of every month. We are moving the event back to its original location as it is available again. Use this map, or 10965 Dronfield Avenue for nav, meet in the lower lot unless it is locked, in which case meet at the Ranger Station. Pat Bates leads. If she can’t make it there, she’ll make every effort to line up another leader. Either way, it’s great birding.
