Ken will discuss the various theories on the origin of falconry, and the lure of the Shaheen. Ken will then talk about what’s behind the scenes of a world class professional falconer, and the animal husbandry and training. We will meet the various raptors and he will explain how they are flown and their jobs.
Ken Miknuk is the founder of California Falconry. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a Master Falconer. He holds 3 Federal and 2 State permits for his 3-generation professional falconry company. His Instagram account is #falconer for his world acclaimed pregame ritual for the MLS soccer team LAFC. Ken has 50 years-experience as a Falconer, and 18 years as a professional Falconer.
